Salmon Lodge, our sister lodge on the Grand Cascapedia is pleased to host the Atlantic Salmon Spey Fishing School from June 2 to June 9, 2013, featuring Topher Browne and Greg Pearson as instructors.
You will learn (or refine) four casts on Day One and Day Two of the school: the C-Spey, the Double Spey, the Snake Roll, and the Single Spey. Five days of guided spey fishing on the Grand Cascapedia and Bonaventure rivers complete your week. Evening seminars will address the benefits of Traditional, Scandinavian and Skagit lines in addition to tactics and techniques for Atlantic salmon in Canada and Europe.

About the instructors:
In 2011, Topher Browne released Atlantic Salmon Magic (Wild River Press), the most complete book on Atlantic salmon in a generation, and 100 Best Flies for Atlantic Salmon. A former professional guide, he has fished for Atlantic salmon in Canada, Iceland, Norway and Russia. As a casting instructor, he co-wrote and co-produced the spey-casting DVD, Spey to Z (2006). He lives in Portland, Maine.

Greg Pearson is a professional guide and manufacturer’s representative in the Rocky Mountain West (R.L Winston Rod Co., St. Croix, Ross, Waterworks-Lamson, Hatch, Scientific Anglers, William Joseph, Solitude Fly). He has fished for Atlantic salmon on many rivers of the Gaspé Peninsula and for Pacific steelhead in British Columbia, Washington, Oregon and Idaho. As a casting instructor, he starred in the spey-casting DVD, Spey to Z (2006), focusing on Skagit-style spey casts. He lives in Salt Lake City, Utah.
