River Report

Salmon Lodge Fishing Report July 8th to 15th, 2012

A tough beginning and a great end is the best way to sum up this past week. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were warm and hot. The Combination of low water and bright sunny days made catching a bit challenging. We still managed however to take a number of good fish early in the week. Thursday through Sunday was a complete turn-around, the clouds rolled in and a welcome rain brought our rivers up to perfect levels. Its amazing what a little rain will do, the week ended in a blast! Fresh fish are coming in on every tide and this next week we will have the high tides for the month. Things should turn on!

The fly’s to have this week were the Stone Ghost, John Olin and Picasse. The dry’s of choice were the Brown and Green Bombers . I believe the Labatt Blue also held its own.
