Salmon Lodge Fishing Report September 17th to 23rd, 2012

A great week! September fishing has been excellent and this past week was no different. We had a wonderful week with all our guests landing salmon, in fact almost everyone limited out each day. Our fall run is coming in strong and all our pools are loaded with salmon . The warm weather has kept our water temperatures just perfect and dry fly’s continue to work well. The Bony, Grand and Peite all received rain and the water level are perfect as well. Next weeks forecast is calling for more of the same, warm temperatures and a little rain, should be Great!

Jim Lepage, VP of Orvis with his first Grand Cascapedia salmon, great Jim!

John Kelly releases a fine looking hen fish on the Grand cascapedia, Way to go John!

Fall fly’s have been doing their job with the Red Francis a the head of the pack, others that have been working well have been the Out to Lunch and the Purple Grape. Drys have continued to work particulary green and dark brown bombers.
