"My wife and I have done three trips to Salmon Lodge on the Cascapedia and have had an exceptional experience each time. The setting overlooking the river is spectacular, the recently renovated accommodations are elegant and comfortable in the rustic way you'd expect, and the service from staff and guides is first-rate.
The fishing is as good as you can expect for Atlantic salmon in Maritime Canada (i.e., hooking into one or two fish a day is above average). Anglers typically fish three beautiful and productive rivers — the Grand Cascapedia, Petit Cascapedia, and Bonaventure — offering a nice variety. These Gaspé rivers are known for their big salmon and typically have a salmon-to-grilse ratio of 4 or 5 to 1."
